Selection of door and window profile and accessories

The selection of profiles should take into account the functional requirements and choose from the door and window series product catalog.

 

(1) Opening method In the series of products, the profile section and accessories have their overall uniformity during installation. When selecting a profile in accordance with the opening method of the window, pay attention to whether it is open inward or outward, push left and right or lift up and down, and select a profile designed for this type of opening method according to different opening methods.

 

(2) Heat transfer coefficient K of the window The heat transfer coefficient K of the whole window is determined by the heat transfer coefficient of the door and window frame fan and the glass heat transfer coefficient. It must be comprehensively considered to achieve the required heat transfer coefficient.

 

For the heat transfer coefficient of common aluminum alloy profiles and glass, refer to 3.4.2 Design of Thermal Performance.

 

(3) Sound insulation performance The sound insulation performance of doors and windows (Rw + Crt, or Rw + C) depends on the window frame fan structure, glass structure and glass inlay method.

 

(4) Glass inlay The glass inlay method, glass weight and thickness affect the choice of door and window frame fan profiles and accessories. The width of the slot of the window frame and fan profile should be able to accommodate the thickness of the glass and the glass sealing material on both sides.

 

(5) Wind pressure resistance The selected profile should be able to meet the wind pressure resistance requirements of doors and windows. It can be selected based on experience, and then wind pressure check. If the window is used in a high-rise building, or if the window is large, calculate the wind pressure resistance.
